You can download the server version in the Download section. Each server is started from the corresponding menu.
Let us look at starting and setting up the exchange server for the most popular device on the market — an Android device. It may be a phone or a tablet computer.
What does a communication server do?
It exchanges files. As soon as the user presses the Import/Export button on the handheld, the program connects to the communication server over TCP/IP, checks the login and password, sends all questionnaires to the server and receives templates if they have been updated.
Server address and port
So you need to know the address and the port your communication server works on.
Usually, if you have a wireless network set up, it is enough to find out your computer’s address, for example by running the IPCONFIG program. It will be a line like 192.168.111.23.
All you need to do on the mobile device is enter this address (note: with the port!) in the program on the Android device. It will be a line like 192.168.111.23:8888.
And don’t forget to enter your correct login and password.
In most cases the program will work automatically. If it doesn’t, check that no firewall is running on your computer.
If necessary, change the port both on the Android device and on the server. The server settings file is \SURE\Android\cfg.ini. Usually only the port is adjusted there.
By the way, the Android program itself can be downloaded from the Market (Android Market).
